3 things during Josh's short return to Salt Lake...
Number 1 -
Ashley thought she'd go shopping for apartments and did an awesome job bartering and convincing and found a nice place downtown... She said I only needed to add "one thing"... a security system.
YUP! This is the front door... ha ha ha!
I saw the rest of the apartment and quickly realized that we would need to add much more than "one thing"... we decided to move into the house on Ashley's street after all.
Number 2 - We had our engagement pictures taken... check out some of our photographer's favorites on www.thecolorbluephotography.com
They are really cute. There is one shot of Ashley's "pants" that looks REALLY good! And even though Josh is making some weird faces in a couple of them, the pictures she posted on her blog are very good... she is amazing at bringing out the color in her pictures.
Number 3 -
Ashley tricked Josh into rollerblading.
It was fun and didn't go bad until we swam through a cloud of gnats... they ate into ashley's eyball, she peeled one off her contact lens.
Sunny the cat
just so you know... we held a funeral today:
we don't remember his name... we think it was "mouse"
it was all sunny's fault... he batted with his paw at the poor little guy until "mouse" had a heart attack.
we said a few words in behalf of "mouse" but the truth is we never knew anything about him... he probably liked human food and most likely was looking for his mommy and daddy which were assuredly living in the run down apartments nearby.
the assailant sunny will be incarcerated shortly but was let out on probation... details to follow.
Redbull
I've been in D.C. for the last week with Josh- extremely bored for the 9 hours he is out selling everyday, but I've decided laziness is not all that it is cracked up to be... Looking forward to being busy when I get home. I even want to go back to school already!
Tonight we went on a date- a progressive date. It was really fun! We went down to 23rd street and got appetizers at Juleo, dinner at the bar in
Bebo (where we met an awesome new friend, the bartender, Martin, who made fun of us for ordering sodas... he even decided to take us to the "edge" by
finishing us off with a free round of redbull ;) We picked up dessert at coldstone and headed home. It was a three hour meal but SO worth it!
hmmmm...
Well... Josh wants me to make sure I include the story about him coming home to Salt Lake- we had a misunderstanding and I got upset so I decided to ignore him and let him think about what he had done haha. Well, neither of us slept very well that night, but I have to say that I felt loved that he kept trying to reach me until 3 a.m. ;) The next morning I took my time finding things to do in order to avoid talking to him... I figured I'd wait til the last minute just to make things a little more dramatic... But by the time I finally talked to him he had just booked a flight home to see me.... I picked him up from the airport that night and he stayed for three days just to make sure everything was going to work out! I love him, and I love that he chases after me... but we'll have to work on his impulsiveness in the future! Thanks to Rebecca and Kay for skymiles :)
Left Alone - But Not Lonely
Ashley left me today!
She went back to Salt Lake and left me to fend against the angry grandma's and their children who don't want strange men walking into their house, the rich snobs who tell you they're not interested before you even give them the shpeel, and the ghetto dirty class that get super excited for something that's free but don't even come close to passing credit. We'll talk on iChat everyday I'm sure. But she left me a surprise so that I wouldn't feel too sad at her departure...
She put a ton of stickies on my desktop to spring up and surprise me when she left!
